As you can see, I had grabbed the idol and moved up to about the high you see. the boulder somehow moved me off the rope, for some odd reason. I'm still in the climbing animation, but I cannot climb up or down. jumping removed the glitch, though.

Did the boulder cause damage, or did it seem like you were stepping on it? You appear to be at almost the exact height of it.

The boulder will push you up if you're at the right level - this is what enables you to actually jump over the boulder without a height advantage.

It will also push you to the side if you're on top of it.

Therefore, I conclude that he wasn't high enough to clear the boulder fully, then the boulder pushed him up and to the side.

So is it safe to say this "floating bug" is probably a problem with the rope itself? The wiki states "Getting hit while climbing on vines and ladders works as expected. " Maybe something about the rope being put in position during play?

The obvious solution here is, if the Spelunker is moved at all horizontally while on the rope, knock him off.
