Okay, thank you. The last thing we need is another fight on the forums. And yes, I know a lot of people like that too. My family is struggling with money right now, too. Although hopefully child services will remove me from it soon enough. Don't worry about that. It's a personal story that has no point in this thread. To stop the possibility of this off-topic conversation going on, I'll just quickly explain - My dad is an emotionally abusive bastard. The one question that would have continued the conversation there is answered. Let's just end it now, and go on with talking about a possible PC Version.

Regarding the inevitable question of whether the XBLA flavor of Spelunky will also be available on PC or any other systems: I don't have any plans for it right now. The original Spelunky doesn't need replacing, in my opinion, and I'll continue to support it as a free title. Not only that, but I'm planning on opening up the source code before the end of the year so that people can modify the game to their heart's content. For now, head over to the Spelunky forums to discuss the game and share levels! As has been stated quite clearly by more than one person, it's not likely to happen. If at all, it will be well after the Live release, though considering the fact he will plan to continue work on the PC version I don't see why the Live version should ever be ported. For all intents and purposes it's a different game. There are three or four different versions of N, and no reason to carry the DS version over to PC, or the Live version, or the PSP version, there is already one on the PC. The others were developed and designed specifically for those systems, the same as Spelunky Live.

I have buddies who have a 360, I'm sure I could figure something out. Worst case scenario, I ask you guys to compile a change list for me!

I'd totally be up for that. Although I'm not good at spotting stuff, so I won't be as much help as some other people may be.

*Cough* me *Cough*
Who knows when though? Probably won't be for a LONG while.
You'd have to get an Xbox to know what you're modding, 'cause you don't have one, right? Meh. Two words, directed at anyone without an Xbox. Save and Up ..Don't go giving me attitude if you can't afford to save up. Just try to find another way. only problem with that is while i could save up for one i cant connect it to the internet (long story) so it would be pointless

Even if there is gonna be a PC version, we won't even hear about it for probably a couple months, and it could take a lot longer for them to make it and release it. In short, no. No we have not heard any word of a PC version.

No we have not heard any word of a PC version. Well we could hear about it fairly fast, if they build it with porting in mind and feel like telling us.

*sigh* Derek himself said that there will be no PC port of the Xbox version.
And I know there are more changes than just graphics and music. A few of them were mentioned somewhere in the thread that Derek made here.

If it was written using the XNA game studio, there's automatic platform conversion tools. Well, there are for PC->XBox, not sure about the other way around. Long time since I loaded XNA up
