Well if a rep system added thumbs down/minus or whatever, it could work like comments. So if a post had say three or more negative votes it would show up as a hidden post with the "show" option.
I agree with Dude for people attempting not to add meaningless random thoughts to a post (particularly when they are off-topic), but to ask mods to go back and actually find every meaningless post is a little much. If the method I mentioned above were to work, these posts would be naturally filtered out anyway. I guess someone making useless posts/topics could also see that they have received X number of down votes and say to themselves, "maybe I should think about what I'm posting a little harder."
Or if they have a creamy center like me, they'd get sad..
But that thumbs up/down system should work. If it gets too many bad votes, then maybe the post wont count towards the poster's post count and that post will be hidden? With a "Show" and again, "Hide" button of course. It seems to work on YouTube..
Note to self: Overuse of word "Post"Maybe have like, a trophy case for each user as well, and someone who gets lots of bad posts could get a trophy for that, which
wouldn't be a good thing because it'd show people that you're not a good poster and probably embarrass you. There could also be trophies for good stuff, too.
OH. OH. OH.
ARCADE. ARCADE.

DEFINITELY NEED AN ARCADE AROUND HERE.

But the only forum type thingy that I know of that would probably be able to make all that is vBulletin, and this isn't powered by that, is it?But if the forum was changed from this to vBulletin, then everyone's accounts would be gone, right?
