Level Editor Contest - *Finished*

Here it is!  I give you:

Junglventure!

It uses Spelunky Editor Plus, so you'll need that to play it.  It's not TOO hard, but I have a tough time beating it consistently.  Enjoy!

Edit: Nice level, halibabica. These levels are actually much much better than I thought they'd be. I'm gonna have trouble voting between these.

As of me entering, I don't know. I might.. If I can be bothered to.

Whew, this one was a tough call!  I was torn between three of them!

Jungle Assault -  I liked this one.  It was a really neat concept, and turning the Spelunker into a commando worked better than one might think.  I kept getting owned by shopkeepers, though, so it was kinda frustrating.

Jungle - Pretty basic jungle stuff.  The first time through, I skipped all the treasure.  But then it seemed getting them was the goal, so I went back and picked up all the goodies.  There were only a few I couldn't figure out.

Jungle Escape - Clever stuff, Hayden.  I liked how you put an exit behind Kali's head and strung the levels together.  It's a mini-metroidvania!

Gates of Steel - Another clever set.  The puzzles and their solutions weren't as complicated as some of mars' other sets, but it was interesting and it worked.  Even with gates of steel, 99 bombs from Kali will get you through.

Not telling who I voted for! But you all did a good job!

I had trouble with my vote too. I was thinking mainly between Jungle Assault and Jungleventure. ;P

Not telling which one I voted for either though.

I liked them fairly equally, but in the end I did vote for MGG's. Probably becuase it's a "Gates of..." that didn't make me wan to pull out my hair.

This is...the BEST TROPHY...I have EVER RECEIVED*.  Just as well.  I never even cashed in my other two prizes, one of which was technically someone else's anyway.  I accept this token of e-cred!

AND SO'S YOU KNOWS: I plan on renovating the Level Editor for the next release of Tastes Like Spelunky.  Once it's finished, I plan on holding a contest for its use.  Don't wait for me, though.  By all means, hold other contests in the meantime.  Who knows how long that could take...

Ha. First of all, it was me who basically "Gave" the prize to you from the first contest, and also, you're welcome.

At least I know that it wasn't a waste of 40 minutes there.

:O I just got an idea. You may very well not like it, and I'm not surprised if you don't do it, it doesn't matter, it won't offend me if you don't, but you could put that trophy in your signature.

You have permission to use the image wherever you want. It is your trophy, after all.

Anyway.. I look forward to that contest. I think MGG is going to make the next contest, though.

Maybe you should use those other prizes for the level editor help.

Edit: I actually wouldn't put the trophy in my signature if I were you. It looks quite crummy. ;P

Maybe if I hold a contest next time, and make another trophy for the prize, I'll add handles to it. ;P

It looks awesome. Is that mantrap with the ninja suit, or did you cheat, and just screenshot him crouching and flip it? ;p

Actually, that doesn't need to be answered. 'tis quite off-topic.

One more edit: If you want, I'd be more than glad to make you a ribbon saying "#1" if you like the signature idea, but not the trophy.
I can just make a small little ribbon, perfectly fitting for the signature, and you can just have it like this:

You're making a contest, that requires a mod, but not the level editor plus mod. A mod with different level editor items in it. ;p

Much as I'd love to stick the ribbon in my signature, the character limit is being eaten up by both of the links already inhabiting it.    I don't even have room for my custom level thread, so please don't take it personally.

And yes, that is definitely a Ninja ManTrap in my avatar.
