The answer is simple - innovation is always a risk.
Let see. Some guys decide to make game. They made it, but no one like it and no one buy it. If these guys was school friends and made this game after classes, they just like: "Oh, that sucks, let go to eat pizza". But if these guys was adult people with families and made games for living, they would: "Oh my, we screwed, let go to search another place for work".
Why?
The development of a good big game needs lot of money. A lot. Only big companies can spend this amount of money. And they must be sure money will come back with profit. Otherwise company would bankrupt. Because big companies already must spend a lot just to support their existence.
And here it is - indie games. People making it for fun, not for profit. Most of them. Ok, even if they making it for profit - a little gamedev company - they not risking much. If they made not popular game they have chance make another one or two.

Pretty good, I remember having almost a year straight of releases becoming FPS one after another. Every time I read about a game that sounded good I would see it after a little bit of development and go, "oh, it's an FPS." Also, I want that emo Link as my avatar!

I agree; it really IS a risk. Innovation is a 50/50; it's either a top or a flop.
That's why things are SO DAMN ORIGINAL.

I like Rosalina, she is really stylish and interesting, but... Oh, what a bag of bulldrops he talking! She is not the goddess. She had a family: mom and, I presume, dad. So, she was born, created. And if you was created, you definitely not the god, no matter how you calling yourself or someone calling you. Another thing - star fellas formed the Universe long time ago and without Rosalinas help and carring. That means she is not creator of Universe, she just decide to be involved in the process of Universe existence. And this is hard, but awesome!

That is rather silly. A god is something that can make a universe, if you have that power, your a god. Even if you didn't start that way. There is no reason a god has to be immortal, or all knowing or all powerful, just powerful. Another thing - star fellas formed the Universe long time ago and without Rosalinas help and carring. That means she is not creator of Universe, she just decide to be involved in the process of Universe existence. And this is hard, but awesome!
Clearly other gods took care of this before her, she is just the latest.

Roselina doesn't go about making universes. She just looks after Lumas. Lumas become stars and stuff. No one thing creates them.
