So I find myself back in the saddle of ruling Savantboat. And to protect my hide and the hides of everyone else I'm going to make a deathtrap.
But there is no way I'm wearing that Crown, it can stay under my mittens for all I care.

While work is going fine on my deathtrap, I receive word that Mars son Ares has Withdrawn from society. Its myth that children can have these moods and yet Ares was just hit with one!


And then he claimed the Craftsdwarf workshop...

So Del finished playing "drink the beer" at the party decided to come trade with the pansy elves.


In other news, I ended up having to build my own Drawbridge.

Ani found him, and hes too far away so I drafted him into the military so he'd fight.

Heh, just watch this kid make our most valuable artifact yet.

Though it'd be nice if we could get one that's not from a jeweller's/craftdwarves, so that we can actually use it as furniture or have someone wear/wield it.

And that was a nasty battle; I wouldn't count on any of the wounded surviving unless they have a high enough toughness to heal before dying of thirst; we've only got one more bucketful of water and it doesn't look like we'll be getting more.

I have allowed the Dwarves to go back outside and I hear that Hali, Arucard, Sudo, Dakost and Meng have died.
I'm going to miss Aru, me and him were good friends...
But this battle has shown me how much we need this deathtrap completed.

I, Arucard, second ruler of the outpost attend the battle as commander of the squad....the sensitive paddles. Previously I have been humiliated on the field of battle by my most hated enemy, the horse. This is my chance to redeem myself, and yet as I write this, I know I will not live to see my glorious Savantboat again.
