Okay, writing this as I play to get all my opinions in fresh.
Also if I say anything you've already addressed in the thread then forgive me, I already forgot what I read in it erlol.
I found a pot, I must ask, did you remember to make it so snakes and spiders dont randomly jump out of them?
Alright on level two, found a box and got shot, brings up some thoughts. Things are probably going to get a little boring without any enemies to worry about, I dont suppose we could see an increase of item boxes? On that note, since getting all the power ups too quickly would make things incredibly less challenging, if you were to up the box count making bombs and rope come out of them more often would be a good idea I think. And then the thing about getting shot, there are no ways to replenish health is there? Can you fix that? Maybe a new item to restore health or extra health when you begin?
Abandoned shop? Oh maybe I wont need those extra boxes after all...
I died... Seriously can I have a way to refill health or something?
Wow the shop keeper challenge room is empty... and I cant exit without closing the window or slowly dying via fall damage.
Arrow room still has bats in it... managed to shoot myself with an arrow after I fell in the spikes, this was a triumph.
Damsel challenge kills you immediately... okay then.

Still disliking my 2hp situation here...
I notice a lot of Bones without Skulls, it look weird, if you put the skull back it would certainly add to the creepiness of being in an abandoned cave complex, especially if you upped their spawn rate, and put them in shops, replacing the shopkeeper.
Also a thought just occurred, gas was supposed to have killed everyone or something? I didnt know GLaDOS had a part in Spelunky
The... Frack? I just found a Skull, but it turned out to be a Skeleton enemy, when it stood up it just disappeared
I've cracked every pot I've seen, I guess you did deal with them correctly.

Smashtraps on either side of the exit MARS COME ON. At least I have 40 bombs.
I now have 17 bombs from clearing smashtraps

WOW RESTLESS DEAD LEVEL.
I like this, but I think you should sprinkle the death feeling across the game.
Found the entrance to the black market in the Crystal Skull area sweet, but with 1hp of course.

After 30,000 retries I am greeted with smashblocks in the dark...
Oh what, If I pick up the idol in the room with the spiked ceiling trap nothing happens.
And... wtf, I found a shop, took the mitt, cape, rope, and spectacles, fell, landed on a smashblock, didnt die, then proceeded to walk across the top of them.
I am okay with this glitch.
But then I died.
Uh... Mars, is this supposed to spawn here?

Okay so enough of that, Temple is impossible without a maxed out inventory.
So let me tell you what I think of this mod
Straight to the point, its good but you need to tinker with the traps and add a way to refill health. What I would like to see you change is:
- Add more sense of death, add the Skull item back and make them have a higher spawn rate, use tombstones throughout the whole game instead of just in the restless dead level.
- Get rid of the Skeleton enemy/trap, they are visually glitchy
- A higher rate for Idol traps to spawn would be nice
- The different levels have really unbalanced traps, Lush has too many of the totem things which I've been calling smashtraps (idk if thats what you guys call the totems or the blocks) Ice has barely anything and is kind of boring for it, Temple is just Impossible, way too many Smashblocks. To fix this I would suggest cutting the smashtraps to about half of their current spawn rate, do the same for the smashblocks, add arrow traps to lush and ice to make them feel fuller, and increase the smashtrap spawn rate in temple.
- Do something about the Bonus rooms, they're just sloppy.
- Add something to refill your health, I will even provide you with sprites if you want
I have to say I love your mods, but it feels like you dont finish them, try to finalize a mod before you move on to the next, or at least give it someone else to put some final touches on, you can do some pretty cool things Mars, and I would love to see you put those finishing touches on this mod.
