I don't think you know what an algorithm is.
The algorithm is pretty much everything there is to Cleverbot, if the algorithm is poor, then the programming is poor.

It doesn't just copy what people said, it copys based on what has been said to it, check out the logs some time, It's really is clever when it gets going. |

I remember experiences with Cleverbot.
Probably the first time it was really smart.
Second, it sucked.
Third, it sucked.
Everything else kinda fell in the middle.
