sheer variety + quality design

The design aspect would be important because otherwise anyone could just mash up every element of Spelunky in one custom level.

That's exactly what I was thinking about. Stuff like this. But for future contests, maybe people should know to think outside of the box like I did. That got me to win even though I wasn't expecting it. By the way, I may be releasing an extended version of that Hot 'n' cold set soon, but I renamed it to "Puzzle Maze". Anyway.. I can't guarantee.

Edit: Thinking back.. You all thought outside of the box too. Hrm. Well, not to brag, but I think mine was a little more.. "Outside of the box". ;P
