Sorry someone had to make it. Maple Story is a game where you make a character Aran, Cygnus Knight, or Beginner. If beginner you can pick from 5 classes: Archer, Warrior, Thief, Mage, and Pirate. These get new more specific jobs later on, and those jobs evolve more. Example: Bowman> Ranger> Bowmaster Archer> Crossbowman> Sniper> Marksman Really fun game. Check it out at MapleStory.Com. I always wondered about that thing, a lot of people used to talk about it, but I've never been one for online games since I don't know anyone. It looked kind of interesting, but I'd probably have more fun just playing a regular RPG I already have.

It's actually rather easy to make buddys in online games.
Well, maybe that depends on the community.
I haven't made a single e-buddy in Maple Story, but I've made plenty in Ragnarok Online.

I tried playing this last year, it's quite an abhorrent game. Especially the retarded process of setting up the game. There seems to be nothing good in it.
