A new discussion topic!
Post whatever about demon's souls here.
Rule of Thumb:
The game's not cheap, you just suck at it. =P.
And a brief overview of the game:
Anyway, Demon's Souls is a very challenging game.
I've just played through the game once, and the game, needless to say, is relentless. There are so many ways for you to die, like falling into a bottomless pit, geting skewered by giant flying manta rays, being crushed by flaming boulders, you name it. Of course, you might be thinking: "How is this fun?" It's fun because of the amount of satisfaction of accomplishment. Finally beating a stage after countless deaths is much more satisfying than coasting through the level unthreatened. Once you finally beat the game, guess what?
You're immediatly thrown back to the beginning of the game, except now, everything is harder. Ouch.
Of course, I'm horrible at describing things, so if you want a more detailed explanations, read or watch a review of it. They're everywhere.

I guess the old DS thread got left behind? Anyway, I've been in the mood to play it recently, but am kind of afraid I'll end up doing something I'll regret if I do. What class were you playing as again? Might just have to start over (again) to see if that helps motivate me.

Start as a royal.
Royal is the effective "easy mode" for the start of the game, since you start with a good ring and spells.
