Great comic, gotta hate those things. Can cause a lot of deaths by knocking you into spikes.  Something has been weird though. How would the Spelunker know about the forest if he did not know about the caves? |

He knew about the caves, too...but you know how Spelunky is. It's never exactly the same each time.  And since I'm well aware that's a total cop-out answer, let me back it up with some BS: if it seems like the spelunker was surprised or didn't know about something in the caves, then he simply didn't encounter it on his previous expedition. Whee, cover-alls. |
