I used to think the scarabs were lions' heads: the legs were the mane, and the elytra were the cheeks. I was never quite sure why I was collecting flying, glowing lions' heads, but, hey, I've done weirder things in videogames...
Anyways.
The comic is pretty sweet. I particularly like that the sound effect that accompanies spelunking is "SPELUNKIN'."
