Yeah, I know I just joined these forums, but I'm a HUGE fan of Spelunky so I want on this.
Anyways...
One could get used to this! - Rescue a damsel for the first time
I'm not a tennis ball! - Get thrown back and forth between 2 yetis...twice.
C-C-C-COMBO MAKER! - Kill 5 enemies in a row without taking damage
C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! - Kill 4 enemies without taking damage, but take damage on the 5th
OMG!!!! - Get killed by a giant piranha
So close... - Get killed at a level exit
THWOMP! - Get squished by one of those spiky block enemies
Bad ideas for achievements. EDIT: Icing On The Spelunky = Get thrown to the ground by a normal Yeti then have the King Yeti roar and have ice block fall and crush you while you are stunned on the ground. |

Also you cant. if a shoppy sells a pistol and shotgun you cant take both.

I think a good thing to add would be a enemy roster, pictures are added when you see the enemy first, when it kills you it tells you its attack and damage, when you kill it it tells you its HP. Similar thing for traps and items. That way the player can refer to the manual, but it isnt spoilers.
Good Xbox gamerpoint style achievements, besides just ingame unlocking?
1. Win
2. Clear City of Gold
3. Find Black Market
4. Build Jungle Shortcut
5. Build Ice cave shortcut
6. Build Temple shortcut
7-11. Gold medal on (each minigame)
12. Fill enemy roster (kill and be killed by every enemy)
13. Fill item roster (use every item at least once)
14. Win with more than 1 player surviving.
Standard is better than weird achievements

Those achievments will most likely be the real achievments in the game.
However this thread is kinda like a forum game. Most of the suggestions won't be in the game and there is no way all of them will be put in, it's just kinda for fun making up stuff that is kind of a milestone/ hard to do.
