I haven't managed to beat the boss yet, but I haven't tried much. Without the scepter I'm not sure what the best way to go about fighting it is.

Bug: Various fireball attacks (from UFOs, bats, etc) can hit Spelunky as he is entering a level exit door.

I haven't managed to beat the boss yet, but I haven't tried much. Without the scepter I'm not sure what the best way to go about fighting it is.

Bug: Various fireball attacks (from UFOs, bats, etc) can hit Spelunky as he is entering a level exit door.
The best way is with a shotgun. Or a pistol works VERY well.

Not sure how to fix the fireball attacks, I look into it thanks.

You aren't making the game harder, your making it less fair.  You make a ton of super enemies and strip down the ways to fight them.  Nerfing items doen't add difficultly.  It just screws with the balence.  This mod has gone verring right into Fake Difficult.  Walking along, Red Spike Trap out of nowhere, no time to dodge.  And don't even try to compare this to IWBTG, at least it has the common courty of become predictable.  After the first few deaths it becomes skill.  Not here.  Just 99% luck.

There is still ways to get out of everything. I have yet to see something I couldn't get out of, unless I just ran foreword randomly. You need to play this game slowly, the ghost is not as much a danger as everything, and you can avoid any trick I put in there.

I haven't checked if this has been reported already or not, but there seems to be a bug that if you leave with a negative cash total for the level, it hangs in the tunnel between levels. (At least, that seems to be the cause, since I don't think anything else interesting happened.)

To be honest, for the most part I agree with this Mars, Now I enjoy playing the mod but like he said, it isn't difficulty, its just making the game unfair
Now your custom levels and such, those had Difficulty, and you made it using what Normal Spelunky just had.
Maybe there are ways you can make it harder without being outright unfair?

Darn, I am out out-numbered here. I really kept this toned down a lot and in most cases I have seen you can't run into something where you can't win...

If there is no place you need to take damage, it's just hard not to it is fair, yes?
