The game can only read the existing music files. For custom music, you'll just have to replace whatever track your level uses with the song you chose. So, if you set the stage's music to 'cave', rename the song you want to use as 'cave' and copy it over the old song. That's the only way.

I'm not sure if you're still accepting suggestions, but what about "chasm tiles" that would be used to make bottomless pits that could vary in size, and could be placed anywhere in the level?
And, if you *are* still accepting suggestions, will you only implement tiles/enemies/traps that already appear in the game, or would you accept suggestions for new content?

You can already make bottomless pits. If you want to make it smaller, just cover it with normal blocks in some places.
Also, this mod is pretty much finished. I rather doubt hyperme's up to making anything new for it, and we kinda decided that completely new stuff should be kept to a minimum.

Hey there guys! I've been MIA for a while, so sorry about that! Can someone give me an update on what's been going on with this? I've missed spelunky and defintiely need to get back into it, but I've bene neglecting all of the internet communities I frequent due to school and ridiculous medical problems. I might just delete all of my current Spelunky files and redownload it and all the Mods I play on, so I know for sure I have the latest of the latest of everything! Miss you guys!

I've been toying around with the editor for the last couple of days, and enjoyed it greatly! thanks for this excellent mod!
I still run into a few issues though: - how do I make a shop with a shopkeeper that won't gun me down immediately? - what does the red and white thingy in the level-characteristics tab (6) do? - some items are notorious for disappearing in the editor mode while still being in the level, especially torches. Am I doing something wrong?
apart from this, I also wanted to note that I absolutely love the many crazy interactions you can make with the editor. I have made a separate level in which I explore these, but I doubt I'll find them all...
