Wasn't sure where to post this. Anyway, can anyone help me remove the background from this picture of Spelunky? I'm making a desktop background, and it'd really help me. Image

If I had to do that, I would use photoshop to trim it... I don't know if that's the best method though...

If I use photoshop, it cuts off parts of the Spelunker. It'd probably work if you were better than me and could use the magnetic lasso or pen tool.

Set Magic Wand Tool to:

Tolerance: 10
Anti-aliased: check
Contours: check
Use all layers: not check (never mind here, actually)

Some remnants, and didn't know if you want those little rocks or not, but they're easily erased.

Sure, it took more work than I thought it would. Even with the little separation in his leg, it was too close to black to tell the difference apparently.

I just realized though, you started the desktop topic. Are you going to post you're new one?
