I don't see the point of this thread. The op is obviously not going to respond (or if there is a response, it will be just as insightful as all previous posts), I hope Derek locks this thread.

Hey, man.  I kind of expected this response, so no worries!  I won't ban you, just don't do the multiple-posts-with-one-word-in-each-post thing again.

Anyway, I'm not saying I'll never release the commercial version on other platforms... I just don't have plans for it right now.  I'd rather be honest and just say I'm not interested right now than pretend like it's going to happen when I know it might not.

Also, the free version of Spelunky will still be supported and will probably have more content than the XBLA version in the long run.

Maybe not the ideal solution, but I'd rather concentrate on one platform at a time.
