Did anyone else know you could pick up lamps once you've destroyed the brick it was hanging on? I love how after thousands of plays, this game still manages to surprise me.

you WHAT? Shocked I could've use that! I dropped all my flares in the water, but then I would have had to drop my shotgun. Awesome find though.

I just use my shotgun as my flares if I got it. Fire and it lights up the screen for a moment as if you had a flare or light source Tongue

Well you don't always have a shotgun on hand, and it's only for a quick moment, who knows what could happen between that second in which you can't fire again (I'm watching you frogs...)

But usually the  problem is dropping down. Can't see whats down there without throwing a flare first, usually a combo of man-eating plants, bomb-toads, and piranha filled ponds. Darkness levels seem really rare though.

Was replying to the "Would have to drop my shotgun to pick up the lantern" part. But yes, juggling shotgun and lantern isn't a bad idea.

A couple questions here:

Does the lantern go out or break if you throw it?
and
Are they anywhere outside of shops?

Haven't been able to grab one yet is the only reason I ask.

1.No
2. Randomly on dark levels in Area 1.
