What's your graphics card?

And is its drivers up to date?

If it is, what OS do you have?

Graphic Card - Intel (R) 82945G Chipset Family (pretty old from my understanding, might  be the problem)
 It is up to date
 My operating system is Vista

click start -> run.

Then type dxdiag.exe and press enter.

Give me what it reports to you.

Yes, that might be a problem.
Spelunky HD lags even in Intel HD 3000.

I read that the thing supports DirectX 9.0c, a minimum requirement to Spelunky HD.

I think it's possible that DirectX support in the drivers was busted, so it wasn't detecting a DirectX-compatible card.

That's too low for Spelunky.

It needs to be about 2.8GHz to support it optimally.

It seems that you're out of luck unless you're willing to buy a new computer.
