After a quick search... it could be that games made with Game Maker will not work properly with the language you are using in Windows XP. If you get this same error with other Game Maker games, that could be the problem.

First...try Spelunky 1.2 here:
http://mossmouth.com/forums/index.php?topic=1257.0
It has been compiled with the most recent version of Game Maker which is supposed to provide better unicode support (compatibility with other languages).

If that doesn't work, you can try try using this AppLocale tool to run Spelunky: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13209

I have no idea if any of this will work... good luck!

Wii is having a trouble with a disk, means either a problem with the disk or Wii. If your Wii can not read any disk you want to contact Nintendo.

This is a Spelunky forum, not a Nintendo Wii forum. Tongue

Besides, he was referring to the fact that the Spelunky game wouldn't run on his computer, not his Wii having trouble running games.

Mod edit: It was a spam bot he was replying to, I removed it - mars

He doesnt have any links.

That's part of their technique. There's no links so you assume it's a human that's not too smart. The bot returns some time later and adds links to their sig after the post gets buried so it is less likely to be noticed and deleted.
