If you are thrown by an enemy (e.g. Shopkeep or Yeti) and don't hit a wall, you won't take any damage from the throw - but that 1 damage will be stored, and you will take 1 damage as soon as you touch any wall.  (Only 1 damage will be stored even if you're thrown multiple times before touching a wall.)
