I use for qwertz keyboard
a for sprint (shift is to far away to press with wasd)
esdf or dsxf for movement (when I play spelunky for to long and my finger feels uncomfortable in that position)
jklö, jump, whip, hook and bomb,
space to buy

The only differences I can find is "Z" is replaced with "Y" and some other minor changes maybe.
I always wonder people play platformers using WASD. I always play platformers using cursor keys(unless you require mouse along with it). Maybe they use it because they've habituated with them for playing too many games that require mouse.

I use my Dual Shock 4 controller to play my PC Spelunkys!  L2 - Enter doors R2 - Walk (I use inverted run) Square - Whip Triangle - Rope Circle - Bombs X - Jump Options button - Pause Share button - Journal I couldn't imagine trying to play Spelunky on the keyboard! (Speaking of which, I have a laptop and also have a numberpad. It may have to do with the size of your screen. Mine has a 15.6" screen) |

Left: A
Down: S
Right: D
Door/Buy: L. Shift
Whip/Action: Left Arrow
Run: Down Arrow
Bomb: Right Arrow
Rope: Up Arrow
It doesn't work too well, but it's simple, and only until I get a controller.
