I was assuming.

No intend to parody you.

That's not my thing.

There's no point in arguing with a stubborn person like Blaze.

Not only that, Me, Nathan, etc. are also stubborn about our support for seeds.

In other words, our arguing's going nowhere.
Who was the one who was saying, "Then again"?

I don't see what's wrong with saying "Then again".
You are returning to where you started by saying "Then again".

Okay, I think we should just end this conservation...
...Or this will continue forever!

And so are you when it comes to "it defeats the purpose of the game of seeds are added".

I think that's what I meant by "this is getting nowhere".

Guys.....

Three quarters of this thread is about both of you talking off-topic crap of who should win, when this thread asked you that seeds should be added. This isn't your boxing arena, nor the Grand Competition between Mr Blaze and Mr Karjam

We all have opinions, and opinions isn't supposed to be right or wrong, nor to be corrected.

We could either end this, blame the conversation starter or apologise to each other.

BTW, seeds would destroy Spelunky's randomness, and it allows people to repeat the level until he/she is happy to get a new highscore.

The end

Actually, the way I see it, I was trying to talk about whenever seeds would be good in the game, then I saw how stubborn Blaze was and tried to point it out.

IE, when we were on topic, we weren't going anywhere, as Blaze kept insisting that seeds would ruin the purpose of the game despite us trying to point out positive uses for it.

IE, it seemed to me that he's so stubborn in his beliefs about seeds for this game that he doesn't seem to want to consider how positive it would be in the game, despite the fact that almost everyone else disagrees with him (I said almost, as I saw one person defending him).

In the end, I don't think this is worth debating about, as some of us are in support of seeds, and some of us aren't, and we can't seem to convince one another.

Personally, I think I would quite like to see the ability to enter your own seed, but only on the condition that it disabled achievements, high scores, and character unlocks. On the other hand, it does destroy one of my favourite things about Spelunky.. that you can NEVER, EVER expect to play the exact same level twice.

It's a tough choice.. in one way, I would probably be too tempted to use them and end up using them all the time, destroying my favourite part of the game.

Something I think might be a neat idea is to hide the seed loading/using functionality behind a random challenge. For instance, get to the temple in 7 minutes without taking any damage. THEN, and only then, you can enter one seed and use it. Want to enter another seed? You need to complete another random challenge!

I think that could be a good way to dissuade them from being misused, while still giving players the ability to "share" maps so to speak.

Trying to express my point, make me stubborn, great?
Did you even saw my concern?
Have you looked how negative it can be?
Have you thought twice before suggesting it?
Are you even reading this?

You're points about 'practice' doesn't seem to be logical enough.
I only replied when you actually posted something, which I can reply to...
Otherwise, it'll seem that I didn't reply because I've been defeated!

BTW, Sarge, actually we were done until you started it up again. :C

That's my favorite part, and also, my main concern about seeds, that it'll remove it!

The random challenge seems to be a somewhat good way so people don't exploit it, and forces them to actually focus on the game, than seeds.

I mean all of us are stubborn about what we think about seeds.

Quote from: Google's definition of stubbern
Having or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, esp. in spite of good arguments or reasons...

I'm not saying I have a good reason, it's just that no matter what reasoning we try to bring you, either you point out what other poster's posts like Nala's and claim that's the point of your argument even though they're not against it (you've done that twice), or, you kept on insisting that it'll ruin the game even though others try to say work arounds like "disabling acheivements/leadership/etc." when running using it.

I've also used the argument that "just because it's made easier doesn't mean it's bad even if it's against the purpose of the game", and you've shot it down with the same reasons.

In other words, there's no point in trying to reason with a person who seems stubborn to me.

Just don't make conversation starters, okay?

Starting again makes yourself an easy troll feed.
Sorry what?
I told that we were on-topic(talking about seeds).
Now, it's up to you whether you want to turn it into a 'conservation'.

Edit: *reads below message*
Okay, Sorry! Not posting just to prevent another conversation!

BTW, don't know why you're acting so weird, nowadays.
