i currently have 266 plays, 265 deaths(mostly from taking stupid damage on the 1st level and restarting XD) and 1 win, 1 special win. today i just beta yama as well as olmec for the first time, so how many deaths did it take you to beat him?

This, Also my unshakeble habit of going to the worm because I fucking love the crysknife. :C Me too. I always go to the worm even though I know I can't beat it. |

I beat Yama just recently and it probably took me many deaths but I can't check because the game seems to reset my progress everytime I play co-op... I guess it was somewhere near 2k+ but I also did a lot of speedruns/no-gold runs right before I was able to defeat Yama which highered the deathcount a lot.

Did you play the Classic Spelunky a lot? I just have a hard time believing that someone could beat Hell with 132 or less tries. Seems far-fetched. |

No i don't play the classic version. and just to be clear, i was playing today and cant even get past the jungle, i think it was just a fluke. :/ i can post pictures today if you want

As unlikely as it may be, it's certainly possible. I know if I got a jetpack early on and loads of bombs from crates, I could have beaten Yama that early on. I would have had him in today's daily challenge if I didn't slip up for just half a second, but... hey!
