For those of you that use a controller to play. I've been a pc gamer ever since I had a 386 but I also got a nintendo when I was a kid so I prefer to play most games with a gamepad if possible. I'm more comfortable platforming with the dpad but I was wondering if anyone likes the stick better?

As the 360 dpad is complete ass, i use analog. I just recently beat my first hell run at 22 plays.

Though i have plenty of experience with analog sticks in 2d platformers, as i am one of those insane individuals that has 100%'d Super Meat Boy.

My advice is to try both and go with whichever feels better to you.

I'm the same... grew up on the first 2 Nintendo consoles, first PC was a 286.  I use the d-pad for 2d games, and I can tolerate analog sticks for third-person 3d games, but have to use a mouse for first-person games. Looking around in first-person with an analog stick feels like i'm controlling a drunk dude in slow motion.

D-Pad .
I was unaware that people disliked the 360 D-pad.
It isn't the greatest but I wouldn't say it sucks.

Well I just bought an off brand 360 controller about 3 months ago for 25 bucks and the damn d-pad just broke on me last night Angry What a ripoff. My nes, snes, and n64 controllers still work fine. They just don't make things like they used to...
