My favorite requires either an arrow, climbing gloves or a rope.
Also works if you steal climbing gloves.

The set up:
Toss up a rope right outside the shop.
Or impale your arrow in the wall above the shop entrance
If you have climbing gloves you don't need to do that^

The Heist:
Grab an item and run out the shop. Jump and grab your rope or arrow or the wall.
Wait for shoppy to run out and curbstomp his stupid head. Grab shot gun kill him.

Works really great and all you need is an arrow. And a desire to kill shoppies

How.. how do you do that?! On XLBA?

I haven't played XBLA, so I'm not sure if/how it's possible. On PC, though, if you're carrying an arrow and run quickly, you can stick it to the wall if you throw it hard enough. Then, you can grab onto it and hang there. Firing the bow at full strength into the wall can do it, too.

The Pitcher's Mitt works too. But the running throw trick is the best since you don't need anything besides the arrow.

Ah, thanks. I'll try it later in XBLA.

Or use a bow at full power.

Huh. Did not know that. It was kind of weak in the original, but it's odd that it was removed instead of getting upgraded a bit. I wonder if the boomerang was intended as a replacement.

That's shocking and disappointing...

I could see the firearms being overpowered, but the bow with it's limited ammo should at least be there.

Nah, I think that the bow really needed more infrastructure to work properly.

Bow was a great idea, but it didnt quite work right. I agree with Wonkyth on this one.

Bow was a nice idea of weapon which is, as well, useful for climbing, with stackable projectiles available from disarming the traps. Also, it could shot bomb-arrows!
Actually, it would be very useful, if pistol and shotgun wouldn't be spotted on the first world.
I remember there was a few nice action-puzzles with bow mechanics in some custom levels, like Archer man.

I don't understand what you guys mean by this, what would you change to make the bow work better? Free aim, or angle-shots?

I really liked that you could grab the arrows from traps and keep them, just too bad they were only in the first and last areas. Also, like Q said, bomb-arrows!

Also, like Q said, bomb-arrows!

FACT: Shopkeepers don't treat bomb-arrows as bombs.
FACT: This makes them useful for thievery.
