Anyone gonna give this a shot? I'll probably try to create some new enemies, maybe even some items/events...

So, when the source comes out, will you try to do anything to the game?

I really want to see some more costumes, specifically a Lemezza green jacket/hat. For some reason I always really like the idea of changing the look of the character. I could make sprite sheets, but not really talented in that department.  Sad

I'm thinking of adding
-A few more zones
-An 'infinite' cycle where it cycles through the zones, with different extras from normal play like...
-A vault, where you can buy/steal laser weapons
-A bank, difficult to rob but worth it (You could also store money and access it different games.

I'm probably going to try my hand at making new weapons by editing existing ones - the pistol code could probably easily be converted to be a machine gun Cheesy. Also floor spike traps.

Hopefully there will end up being a 'feature creep' distribution that intergrates all of these smaller edits together.

I'd like to see if it is possible to have a single, never-ending, constantly-generated level with no exit (and no ghost, obviously).

Would be cool for competitions to see how deep people can get.

What about branching stages instead of straight out adding stages to it?

So at the end of level 4 (or maybe during the "between stages" animation), you can choose to go to either the jungle or some new stage?

Yes, creating even a fraction of Nethack into Spelunky would requite insane amounts of work. But then again modders tend to amaze me time after time after time Smiley

Lol, actually it'd be great if a bunch of people just focused on remaking stuff from regular rougelikes. I for one would love to see DoomRL style random special exits.
