This is basically mocking Spelunky, in my opinion. Some people are offended by mockery, while others seem to be okay with it. Don't know if Derek enjoys this.

Don't know if Derek enjoys this. He does. Direct quote from DY regarding that comic: "Haha, man I [kiss smiley] Eegra! Yay for creepy red rubber lips (when they're used in a non-racial context)!" And while it's probably not the height of modern humor, I think it captures the Spelunker/Damsel relationship pretty well. You think he values her love? Hell no. To him, she's worth exactly one heart (alternately, eight Favor). |
