If I do that I risk getting grounded until I'm 18, or something worse Sad

Yeah I looked at the wiki afterward, just can't get back in there because the stupid key fairy won't come back randomly like she did the first time, and I don't have the programs to force her out yet.

Yesterday I opened the Eternal Corridor, roughly twice as painful as the original, and once your through there.....well, yeah it sucks. There are lots of insta-kill spots in this game, you gotta be quick.

Also, when's your birthday Shane? (month anyway)

I would, but food is much more important than buying video games. Speaking of which, R5000 gone in just one week (from Monday past to today). On all the important stuff, too.

Wait, so the Gate of Time must be re-opened every time?

I'm quick. I relied on a (minor) glitch in the original in the Chamber of Birth.
Also, the Eternal Corridor is different, apparently. Is the timer puzzle in the third corridor still there? Is the fifth corridor endless?

Also, when's your birthday Shane? (month anyway)
25 February. Why?

1-yes, food is more important. Eat first, play later

2- No I just died without saving and got the key fairy randomly the first time, haven't gotten her again since. Also those rooms in the Chamber of Extinction are ALL dark now, and items don't regen when you restart so trying to not waste too many flares.

3-I haven't gone in the Chamber of Birth yet, think I've missed quite a few things because I am scared to hit walls being that they pretty much tell you don't do it in the beginning. Then half the game is hidden in breakable walls WTFF?

And yeah the timer puzzle is exactly the same, but the fifth floor is a little different. You have to bring the One-eye (Backbeard I think?) to the end and then back before you can kill the 100-eye slug. I had to look that up before I ripped my hair to shreds. Tongue

4-Well I would say you could get it then, but it's past. I'll get it for you when I got some extra cash, you're a big fan of the original, you should definitely play it.

Last time I killed Viy, but can't get him in the original, the tentacles don't shoot in this one, but are much longer and wave around. Right now I'm trying to finish off the Twin Labyrinths but there's a new sub-boss who sucks a lot. (I may end up asking you for help too  Cry)

Indeed!

Probably until going to the Chamber of Birth/Life/whatever it is in the remake.
My first playthrough of the original La-Mulana I managed to find my way around without using flares, because I didn't know how to get there yet.

3-I haven't gone in the Chamber of Birth yet, think I've missed quite a few things because I am scared to hit walls being that they pretty much tell you don't do it in the beginning.
Apparently in rooms where you shouldn't hit stuff waits an eye... I'm not certain though.
Then half the game is hidden in breakable walls WTFF?
Hidden in breakable walls? Reminds me of my Cave Story mods, except the walls aren't breakable, just fake Grin

The 100-eye slug? Is it that thing before the Shrine of the Mother?

Yeah, I definitely should. And for some reason, this reminded me of something I should do tomorrow - re-install Steam...

The Twin Labyrinths and Viy...
Viy is easy to beat with Throwing Knives, last I checked, and the Twin Labyrinths will also be harder than I am used to.

What made the Chamber of Extinction easy to navigate in the original (for me at least) was how the enemies were still visible in the dark, now you have a little light around you instead, kind of like Spelunky's dark levels, but everything else is pitch black. You can still make it light permanently from the Chamber of Birth though, according to Mulbruk.

The lightning comes from an Eye of Eternal Judgement, and yeah you can see them on screen, also scan them for info. I meant more from the original, they teach you early not to hit stuff randomly, but then you have to in order to find stuff like the flares and axe.

I think what made Viy easier in the remake is being able to switch weapons on the fly. So you can pull out the shield and quickly (somewhat) change to rolling shuriken as they are now called. The original has so much crap flying around though, and one wrong jump costs quite a bit of health when you land on his face.

Heh, I don't cheat. I'm not that kind of person when it comes to La-Mulana.
Other games, well, it's a different case :p

I cheated in Spelunky. Made a mod that unlocked all mini games without stats changing  Tongue
