Getting Spelunky to recognize second gamepad

I have multiple game devices. My first joystick / game device is a flight stick that I use for flight simulators. Spelunky recognizes my flight stick as Joy 1 and wants to use it as the gamepad for the game. Using a flight stick for this kind of game is not practical so I have a second gamepad that is more like your typical console gamepad.

How can I force Spelunky to use Joy 2 instead of Joy 1?

Take out Joy 1?

Or reverse them if the other game recognizes joy 2?
