OUYA opened up more early-access Developer kits for the $700 price point. Hopefully Derek bites. I'd love to see the system do well, as well as Mossmouth.

Looks interesting!

Cheap too! ($99).

Of course, it'll be more expensive if I where to import it.

Talking about the OUYA, btw!  Tongue

Although this console looks awesome there is one reason it cannot compete with Xbox/Playstation. It doesn't have big titles! With no COD, Halo, Sonic, Mario, and many others it won't have a chance. They need to market it as an upgraded XBLA/Appstore in able to be successful

They definitely wont be a console for AAA games. There are 2 and a half systems that can do that now, not to mention PCs. The OUYA bridges the gap between those who aren't willing/able to hook up a PC to their computer television and have quick and easy access to indie games and the occassional mainstream title.

See, that's the entire reason why it has a chance at success: it doesn't have to compete!

Aren't a PC and a computer a same thing?  Tongue

Err yeah. I meant hook up a PC to their television. Serves me right for not double checking when posting from a phone. I'm surprised you guys couldn't guess what I meant.

While big AAA titles obviously won't be available in the beginning, the developers did say that they're hoping that once the industry sees how big this thing is, they'll want to start making and porting games for it as well.

It's already common for large studios to make offshoot games for series like Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed for mobile devices, I don't see why the OUYA should be any different, especially since it has the hardware to support it.

OUYA seems like an unrealistic idea (no offence) it is a prototype. It supports android engine and it has only 1gb of ram. To a dev, 1gb might not be enough.
