2 Separate Instances of Spelunky on 1 Computer

Is this possible? I'd like for my wife to play from start to finish. Let her keep her own death count, shortcut unlocks etc without reseting my game. I tried installing the game under a different folder, but that didn't seem to work.

Anyone have a quick fix/suggestion?

Modify the game to have it's own settings by getting Game Maker, opening its source and giving it its own ID.

Download a second copy and voila, two setting!

Alternativly, find the registry keys for the game, make a backup of it, and then delete it. When your wife's finnished playing, make another backup of the registry keys and then delete the registry and restoring the first backup.

Another alternative, use Spelunky Portable (if it doesn't keep the registry like the actual game does).

The easiest method is to use Spelunky Portable and save it into two separate directories. You can find it in the Modification Compendium.

I ended up just hitting reset in the game. Painful, but it is worth it to see her attempting to play all the way through. I promised her some outrageous gift if she does manage to beat the game. I figure my money is safe for a long, long time.
