Was going through the game great, got to the jungle and found that hidden haunted castle and managed to kill most of the enemies there with a boomerang including vampire for a lovely cape, had full health.

Found the entrance to the black market at the entrance to the haunted castle, funny enough. Went inside and instantly got killed by the first shop keeper as I wanted in  Sad

I don't get it, I only just turned on my Xbox 360 and didn't annoy any shop keepers at all! In fact I didn't even buy anything from them they all had bombs and stuff that I didn't want and I never grabbed any of those golden idols just in case the boulder broke a shop keepers shop cause they almost always do!

Someone said that shop keeper hostility may be kept from your previous game if you use quick restart by pressing X but this was the first game I had today on my Xbox 360 so it shouldn't have kept them hostile, nothing annoyed them and I never got the TERRORIST! Sign or music change throughout the campaign at all. I don't think I even saw a Wanted poster on the shop keepers shop either but I guess it happened all so fast I couldn't get a proper look.

Does anyone know why this happens and if it'll be fixed?

If it is a bug it will be fixed as Derek strives for perfection. But most likely as there is no frozen region in this game something off screen angered him.

I got no warning that something angered any shop keeper and they were fine until I entered the black market. As soon as I entered I was instantly and immediately shot...so there has to be a bug somewhere.

The music change should be there as well as it's a dead give away but I didn't get one, even while I was being attacked at the Black Market.

Oh. Report this under the more or less official bug report and it will get looked at. Despite large amounts of testing almost every game has some bugs upon release

Had this happen to me as well. Was immediately killed when entering the black market. I think a salamander jumped on a spike trap when the level started and damaged the walls of one of the shops, instantly angering the shopkeeper

I think more realistically it might have been...I've heard that if a red frog is in a shop, it counts as an act of terrorism because the frog counts as a bomb and if you carry a bomb in a shop it makes you a terrorist.

The only problem with this is that there were no warning and I was immediately killed, so the exploding frog theory can't have been right it was so fast that a frog couldn't have exploded but if it was inside the shop it might have been the problem but again, no warning either.

Yeah I love it, it is so much better than the PC version and has 60 enemies in it according to my entry book! Feel bad for you that you don't have a xbox Sad

I think I know what happened. I JUST had the same thing happen to me after killing the black knight with the shield in the Haunted Castle. All of the guys in the armor are other 'types' of enemies, and I think he was actually directly copied from the shopkeeper since he follows his patterns, or at least still 'linked' to the shopkeepers. By killing him they automatically agro'd me in the Black Market when I went there (any other time I've visited they didn't care).

Doubtful, me killing knights and the Black Knight hasn't yet angered the Shopkeepers. (Plus, they're actually based off Cavemen it seems, or at least the Green Knights are).
It's still very likely the Bomb-Frog/Fire-Frog/Salamander. The thing is, in the PC version it wasn't instant simply because of the Frozen Region (the game wouldn't load areas to far away from you so as to save space, they'd be frozen until you approach), which isn't present in the 360 version, so now such events as the exploding Salamander can happen the second you start a level. Frustrating? Completely, but it's in line with the original game to an extent.

The level generation for the black market should be tweaked though as this seems to be happening alot

I'm going to try bringing the shield in there one more time and see if it happens again just in case. It was odd because there was no 'wanted' signs anywhere but they pulled out their shotgun immediately when I walked in, without saying 'Terrorist' or anything, which is what I would expect a frog to do.

Now that's unexpected, and doesn't make sense. So I suppose it really is just a bug.
