What did he say?...
Anyway, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, (or if I mentioned it already...) but its odd...when you shoot a ufo with a plasma cannon specifically, the ufo will often be sent flying TOWARDS you, when everything else in the game you hit them with will knock them away, it can be very dangerous.
If not for the plasma cannon's already inconsistant / screwy range, (which I'm SURE I mentioned) I probably wouldn't have thought much of this.
Edit: Not related to anything, but I almost got 2 million! (Guess who I am on the leaderboards!...but don't say it here please) Hurray for NARCISSISM!

I'd like to report a little bit of what I would consider a balance issue. I feel that taking a hit while stunned from a fall or enemy should take you out of the stun or at least not stun you again. I find that certain enemies like piranhas, cobras and tiki men have a habit of doing this. You could argue that you shouldn't allow yourself to get into such a situation, but I just went from 10 to 0 health in a matter of seconds this way and no amount of effort could prevent it. Just my two cents.

Your suggestion is NOT realistic. Besides, this is intentional on part of the programmers (the original has this behavior too), and I think it's unlikely to change. It adds difficulty to the game. The game's meant to be difficult.

While playing drunk coop, we noticed something particularly hilarious.
2 players can pick each other up simultaneously. IE, player 1 can pick up player 2 and player 2 can pick up player 1 on the same frame. The game tries to put each player in front of the other, making both players move forwards very very quickly.
On a similar note, it's possible for a player to pick up items the same frame they're thrown. Given the proximity to the thrower, this item picked up is normally them. This causes both players to be thrown forwards, together.
Reproducing these is very hard, given the time sensitive nature. Especially when drunk.

More bugs!
Not sure about this one...I opened the udjat eye chest, the damsel happened to be right near it when I opened, and for some reason, she died, (like she got hit by something again)
This one IS a bug, regarding the ball and chain, If you have the pitchers mitt, and throw the iron ball straight left or right, it will float in mid air, and will NOT move vertically at all! It can still move left and right, and you can still pick it up, but you could basically float across a huge gap this way since you will be dangling from it since it only moves horizontally!
I kinda mentioned this already, but shouldn't the ball be able to destroy blocks horizontally as well as vertically if its stuck? If the ball is stuck on a block above you and your dangling from it, the block will be destroyed, but, if its stuck on the other side of something horizontal from you, it won't destroy the terrain in that instance, shouldn't it STILL destroy that object? Because you can VERY EASILY get stuck otherwise?

This bug has already been reported. Also are there any more tortures from Kali?

Which one was reported?...
I imagine someone mentioned THIS one too, but I've noticed many times shopkeepers hurt themselves from...nothing logical really, in this instance, I saw a shopkeeper shoot a carcass, and he happened to be touching the carcass at the exact moment he shot it, and he hurt himself somehow too...
I died in the black market with the ankh AND ball n chain, when I respawned, the game put me in a slightly odd spot, (it was basically about 6 blocks to the right of the entrance) the ball n chain didn't respawn with me (thats not a bug though right?)
Nathant, funny you asked, I later destroyed a 3rd altar, and got the ball n chain stuck to me AGAIN, and lo and behold, the ghost attacks you as soon as you destroy a 3rd altar! Who knew? Whats more, he attacks at the START of the next level as well! The ghost music wasn't playing on the next level though, is THAT a bug? I'm not sure it is really but...
There was an altar on that next level, (which is where I got killed) I wonder if anything happens for destroying 4 in one game? Kinda kicking myself, a well placed sticky bomb WOULD have destroyed it...
This isn't related to ANYTHING, (You can stop reading here Derek) but its a shame this game isn't more popular than it is, it deserves to get much more attention than this, but people with Xbox's have no taste / give up at the first failed attempt. These damn first person shooter games are all the rage even though their gameplay is SO contrived... There was actually a person on gamefaqs once asking "how permadeath is the death system?" What a pointless question...

In the journal, the Ankh is said to be 0 value instead of 50,000 (probably because it only appears in a special level and not your average shop, but still...)

I've also had the glitch Poppy found happen twice. Leaving the City of Gold with 1.4m a couple of days ago, and entering Hell tonight with 1.26m. Both games were quite long, so if this 100-minute limit on games has been confirmed as a bug, that's probably the cause.
In any event, it's one of the most frustrating bugs I've come across, seeing as it targets people going for high scores.
In other bug news, I have two that I didn't see mentioned-
1) I was climbing a tree in the jungle and reached a point where a rope was hanging down (it reached halfway down the tree). When I jumped up the tree and reached the rope, I became stuck - as if the game couldn't decide whether I should be attached to the rope or tree. I couldn't climb up or down or jump free, and ten seconds later a ghost killed me.
2) Since the scepter's attack heads towards the nearest enemy, I've been killed by it trying to find someone who was behind me when I shot - this probably isn't a bug, but I thought I'd mention it. There was a scepter-related bug, though - while trying to kill a shopkeeper who was one level below me and to the left, I walked up against a wall and fired the scepter. The shot didn't go anywhere, and instead of simply killing me, I exploded, as if killed by the ghost.

This just froze my Xbox. 1. Grabbed damsel 2. Ghost started chasing me 3. Jumped onto worm tongue thing 4. While waiting for the worm to eat us, the ghost killed me 5. On the death screen, the worm eating animation continued and then froze my Xbox Screenshot of freeze: (click for large) Edit: Managed to reproduce it fairly quickly - this is where the Xbox froze this time:

That's a weird bug
EDIT: adding more to avoid useless posts. The bug looks easy to fix and I assume Derek will after you mentioned this! Thanx for posting. This is why we have a bug thread!

2) Since the scepter's attack heads towards the nearest enemy, I've been killed by it trying to find someone who was behind me when I shot - this probably isn't a bug It should be considered a bug or an outright design flaw. The Scepter should not hit yourself or teammates, period. Balance it out by weakening it if it's overpowered, but it's way too erratic/unreliable. Sorry if any of these are redundant. * It doesn't appear to be possible to open crates with Up + Action when you're holding the shotgun - the shotgun gets fired instead. * You can grab onto a ledge above you without technically jumping if you run across a single gap. For instance, in this setup: # S ##_### If the spelunker were at 'S' and runs to the left, the slight bounce he'd get as he runs over the single-space gap would bounce him enough that he'd actually ledge grab the upper brick instead of just running up against the wall. ! #S ##_### This isn't as annoying as the automatic ledge grabbing (instead of only grabbing ledges when you press left/right) since it's less likely to happen, but it's equally annoying and both could do with patching. * Spelunky doesn't handle controllers with broken analog sticks well. I've got a controller with a busted L-Stick, I ended up pulling out the stick from the main board after it started ghosting. Most games + the Xbox menu work fine with the D-Pad, however Spelunky has odd control behaviour - when I start the game nothing happens, but the moment I touch the D-Pad the game registers a down-left motion on the analog stick and moves by itself through the menus. When I manage to start the game, again, the spelunker stands motionless until I press anything on the D-Pad, then it suddenly registers the broken analog input (yes, the D-Pad itself works fine and is why I have the controller). I'm not sure how the main Xbox dashboard or the games that work handle error-checking for busted analog sticks, but Spelunky is the only game out of several I play with the D-Pad (Castle Crashers, Akai Katana, Aegis Wing, Mushihimesama Futari, etc) that experiences this issue with that controller, every other one seems to detect there's something wrong with my controller's analog stick and correctly ignores input from it, allowing me to use the D-Pad properly. Edit: I noticed I'm not the only one with control issues. Yo. Having problems with my MadCatz TE arcade stick. Anyone else confirm this doesn't work with a stick? I was planning on investing one too for other games, would be annoying if it doesn't work.

Use the extra smileys for examples
EDIT: I did mean those but was on my iphone so couldn't access them. Also you don't have to use them I just thought it would make it easier to read.
