I'll try to keep this post up to date during release week with upcoming and recorded streams, along with other gameplay videos, for us poor souls that don't have an Xbox 360. If you don't want spoilers, don't watch any of these videos! Tongue

Easy Search Links:

- 'Spelunky XBLA' on Twitch.tv (top results with red dot beside them are live)
- Most recent (newest first) 'Spelunky XBLA' videos on YouTube
- Most recent Spelunky videos on DailyMotion

There is a lot of footage appearing out there, so I'm only posting specific links to the best stuff below.

Upcoming and Ongoing Streams:

Mon-Fri, 8pm EST - MANvsGAME will likely be playing a lot of Spelunky XBLA in the near future: http://www.twitch.tv/manvsgame  Most entertaining when he is at his worst, as seen HERE (short highlight clip). Catch anything you missed and highlights in his past broadcasts.

No schedule (typically evenings EST) - livebyfoma (aka KY) will be playing Spelunky XBLA when he streams on http://vinesaucevidya.com/  Announcements are posted to the Twitter feed when the channel (which is shared by several streamers) goes live. Longtime fan of the original Spelunky with good commentary and gameplay skill.

Best of Previously Recorded Streams:

On July 2nd, MANvsGAME played Spelunky XBLA while chatting with devs Derek and Andy on Skype!: http://www.twitch.tv/manvsgame/b/323493631

On July 1st, XBLAfans.com streamed over 2 hours of Spelunky XBLA gameplay. No mic/commentary in this one, but there is plenty of co-op/deathmatch action with 3 players to be seen (starting at about 55 minutes in): http://www.twitch.tv/xblafans/b/323385357

Streams you missed:

On July 3, 9pm EST - livebyfoma (aka KY) played entries of his custom level contest in Spelunky Editor Plus on the eve of the XBLA release.

Other Videos:

Let's Play Spelunky with the Developer! Anthony Carboni from Rev3Games has a face-to-face interview with Derek Yu, threatens to punch him in the face, and forces him to play his own game. Interview provides good info for people unfamiliar with the game. Derek plays, and reveals a pro tip on how to deal with arrow traps...but fails to execute the move.

Mitch from GameFront plays Spelunky XBLA - HD videos with good commentary let you see how stunning the game looks. Watch him travel through the jungle, ice caves, and temple, then die at the last boss!

Player 1 Loves Player 2 - Spelunky Adventures - A Let's Play series in HD.

What do you guys think the "4th of July" level feeling means?

I think it means that it's so warm that most of the ice has melted :X

Also, thanks for the shoutout, Moloch! The contest was awesome. Entries can be found here:

If you do custom levels at all, PLAY SPELUNKYTROID. It's a faithful remake of the entirety of Metroid 1 in Spelunky, and it is truly immense and jaw dropping.

Great stream. Amazed with the quality of the levels, your gameplay skill, and your patience with some of tough/poorly designed bits.

Most of the entrants were discussing their levels with livebyfoma on Skype as he played the levels for the first time, which was very cool. I was a bit relieved that XBLA footage didn't follow immediately after...I was tired by that time.

Can anyone help out here? I'm quite bad at the whole time-zone thing. according to what I found, MANvsGAME's stream will begin in 44 minutes of the time this reply is sent. Is that correct?

It's a.m. in EST right now. You can check here: http://time.is/ET

Another easy way is to ask google what time it is in New York.

Pretty cool
I only watched the man vs game one with derek and andy
it fustrated me when he never used any new items. he walked right by a freeze ray without showing it. I guess they dont want to spoil the game for everyone

Oh shit, this is out now? See what happens when I leave the internet for two days? La-Mulana site gets updated, Spelunky comes out. Funny I've been playing 360 most of this time, oh well bye again!
