so, seeing as i made it to level 16 for the first time in unmodded spelunky from level 1, i thought it would be a good time to ask all of you,
What is the story of your first win?
How happy were you?
How much rage filled your entire being on the path of win?Yes. there are probably previous topics that i'm currently raging too much to look it up. so, have at it. screenshot of almost winning. then crying. when i lost. |

I can get to level sixteen on about any given playthrough but i cant beat olmec

Through shortcuts, i may have made it there one more time, if that. This is the first time for sure that I ever made it to level 16 from level one. and i'm still so sad that i lost. you don't even understand. :c |

if i stop killing off damsels for the kapala mug (or however it's called) i should be able to do damsels pretty easily.
but the time.
ugh.
i know i can do it, but unless i get a jetpack easily without killing a shoppy for it, i don't try to go to the city of gold (which honestly just sort of happens, that i try to do it. it's like an automatic thing for me now, to go through the steps. >.>), and have a lot of lucky moves, it's not very likely. :c
and thank you super. i appreciate the nice. and will now save it for future reference. :3

I remember a looooooooooong time ago I got up to the last level for the first time. I was like what the... I had no idea how to kill Olmec so I kept throwing bombs at him

because it was easier, i just used bombs until there was no floor beneath him. i felt it was safer than almost getting crushed twelve different times.
:3 i also had somewhere near 70 bombs the first time when i died, and like 50 the time i won, at the start of olmec.

Thanks Wonk. :3 And he's not really. I just don't like running around beneath him. Bombing the floor until it's not there is much easier, especially with 70 sticky bombs.  |
