 Welp, time to cryogenically freeze myself. Seriously though, with box art and an official xbox.com marketplace page now, it can't be too long now, right? ...right? ;_;

@2nd and 4th posters: It's just a placeholder release date, look at the year. That's why I thought I would post it, because of how silly it is. When sites post placeholder dates, they'll oftentimes default to the latest possible date; something about the xbox marketplace won't display dates into 2800 it seems, I assume the latest must be 12/31/2799. Gamestop does the same thing when taking preorders for games without release dates.

So it's very possible it will be released BEFORE 12/32?

So it's very possible it will be released BEFORE 12/32? Almost certainly. Like I said, it's just a placeholder date, which holds no validity to it.

I think it's clear by now that it's going to be part of Summer of Arcade '12. I'm also betting that Microsoft will announce the line-up and release dates in E3, which is just around the corner. In other words, expect the game to hit on July-August at the latest.

Possibly! Hopefully a good one
Yeah. I hope they have it function like Editor Plus (Only with all the new content the XBLA version has to offer available to use in your level) and not just be a half assed editor like Vanilla Spelunky

Welp, guess I was wrong. The summer of arcade '12 lineup for this year has been announced, and no Spelunky in sight. I know they're hard at work on the game, but the complete lack of updates and interaction with the community is extremely disappointing. I'll obviously get it when it eventually comes out, based on the pedigree of the Windows version alone, but way to *not* generate hype for a game which is obviously going to rock.
