Hey, I've been playing Spelunky for a couple of days and I've been having this problem where I can't buy anything from the shopkeepers. So far the only things I can do with shopkeepers are the Dice game and Buying a kiss.

What happens when I walk in the shop is the shopkeeper welcomes me, and I know I have enough money to buy at least a bomb bag. But I don't get the option to buy the bag. It's getting really annoying knowing I have to steal everything just to get by sometimes.

I'd really appreciate any help!

Of course I do. I've even switched the purchase button key around just incase my button was broken.

Are you holding the item when you're pressing P? You can't just be standing next to it.
