Heh, two days ago I dreamt that you would apologize, so I accepted it before you said sorry At least it beats having nightmares every single night!

If Eyeball Bats, a giant eye-thing, a giant heart-monster and actually being inside a monster are all scary, then Grandia 2 counts as a creepy game. Which I played at the age of 10.

Yeah, I thought about putting in white chamber but haven't messed with it much, though it did seem pretty atmosfearic. I Must Scream would definitely fit, but I've never played it, so didn't wanna add stuff I knew nothing about.
Anyway, if you guys have other suggestions or questions about some of those games just say so.
Just for fun here are the games I was too scared to play for long; Fatal Frame, Echo Night: Beyond, Penumbra (though I watched an LP first anyway) and Amnesia, and Luigi's Mansion. (j/k, but I never finished it) For some perspective, I watched Nightmare on Elm St. and Tales From the Crypt when I was 8, so there ya go.

the white chamber has a part where one has to go to a monster in order to continue. And there are parts that would give normal 11-year olds nightmares. Having to find severed arms, a decapitated head, eyes inside a metal box, and a half-dismembered body in a fridge is something that should make it extremely scary. Assembling it and then leaving, returning and finding it missing, only for it to be in a sealed place, and then somehow places are exchanged during white "flashes" whilst the "zombie" leaves a trail of blood to the White Chamber... Scary. The main character is someone who wakes up in a coffin in a spaceship. There are multiple endings, including one that involves ignoring the fridge.

Well now I do wanna play it, I just suck at adventure-style games for some reason.
I also got Alan Wake recently and it reminded me that the original Max Payne had a nice noir atmosphere, in-between shootouts of course. There was a kind of subtle connection to demons and the end of the world.
Also I forget if I mentioned Eversion before but, Everson.

A guy in a freezer who, when spoken to, turns the entire room into a bloody one. That's scary. the white chamber has anime-style graphics, apparently.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, and I may have actually, but I don't recall. But yeah.
Slender, used to creep me out a lot. Now it's cool, no fear, just frustration, but it was pretty bad.
It's freeware by the way, just google it. And also, yeah, it's based on Marble Hornets/Slenderman myths and shit. Not that you need to know any of that to play it, as I didn't originally, but yeah. It's pretty fun. And creepy for awhile.

First and second. Ghost Head and 3 sucked. 3 wasn't even a fucking point and click game and the incarnation of scissorman in THAT game was terrible, and GHOST HEAD HAD NO SCISSORMAN!

apparently slenderman started on some forum or something and then people took creative liberties and made things like Marble Hornets.
Slender is merely a newer installment of the whole slenderman-stuff.
edit: wikipedia probably has a pretty accurate page on it, if you're legitimately interested.
