The first room's exit is at the top. From what I understand, you went directly right (>>>) and thus encountered an Cyogre (cyclops + ogre).
That door leads to nowhere and has a reference to a PC game that SuperX46 knows very well...

Try not to play from your last save point, otherwise you'll miss some of the new stuff.

Sorry for the (potentially lethal) double-post + bump combo.
I have released my fifth Cave Story mod yesterday but I just got time to place its link in the first post.
The Curse of Il'andri'iel takes place in some castle, as far as I know. Tongue

Also, it's pronunciated "ill-an-drii-el" - it's pretty weird, I know.

It was a hint at the PC game that I was referencing to.
Interacting with that door displays a message.

The mod that is the closest to being finished is Shane's Cave Story. And I can't continue on most of my mods because Mixer8421 / Randolf / Wayne is working on the ASM things. SCS will get a second playable character (Shane's normal and Super Inhuman forms count as one), Cave Story Re:coded will get two more protagonists, and a magic fire, and some more things.
Shadow of the Stars, I can't find the book I wrote the planning in, so I can't continue there.
Cave Story - Time Warp, I'm still waiting for two members of the CS Tribute Site Forums to come to a conclusion for the first version of the remake.
The Curse of Il'andri'iel, well, will get new weaponry thanks to Randolf (I'm not going to use all three of his forum names).
The sixth one, well, I'll probably do my best to get as far possible. Probably until Part 1 is finished (which will be more than 72 maps).
If you want to know about it, then you'll just have to find out about it on my SMF forums. And to do that, you'll require the answer to ten possible questions when registering. And to obtain that, you'll need to ask me or the SCS forums staff members. Thus it takes about forever and three quarters.

A Virtual Quest is unrelated to Cave Story Re:coded. I begun work on it because of a thunderstorm yesterday preventing me from going on the Internet for some time.
And I planned it during my four weeks of being without electricity (which ended on 23 July this year).
