Does that mean cookies on a cookie instead of chocolate chips?

Hello, and first post. I love Spelunky, and I have decided to join the forums. Question: Are those postings above me made by spam bots? I'm just afraid that these users might clog up the forum with ads, non-stop. Last time I checked, those posts had nothing to do with Spelunky. The posts they made took me to hundreds of forum links on the internet. I was just wondering if they were auto-posters. I'm also wondering, even if they show up on the ban list can they still access Spelunky Forums? I'm guessing not long after when they cannot access the forum, when the ban accidentally gets lifted by nobody, and they can suddenly access the forum again. Once again, thanks for any welcoming, and hope to get a response to my question. And I didn't mean to make this post off topic compared to others. Looking forward to joining in discussions you have here. Sincere Regards, Helmut.

Hey there Blossom. Thanks for joining. Answer: Yes, they're spam-bots, which I'm currently in the process of clearing out. We do get a lot of them, but I try to show up occasionally to ban them all/delete their posts. Welcome.

Welcome, Blossom.
Glad that you like the game. Sadly the community is having a tough time here because of the bots.

Hey StickArtist! Unfortunately the forums are almost completely devoid of life now. You should check out the spelunky reddit, I think it's supposed to be active at least.

I don't mean to necropost this thread, but...I wasn't sure whether to start a new hello topic, or what, so, I hope you can forgive me for reviving this thread so out of the blue. <w<;
Umm, my name is Colin, or Shibuyah/Shibuyah-kun online, and I'm a bit of an amateur pixel-artist that loves to design characters, and stuff--I'm not too experienced with making custom animations just yet, but I can make animations based on others, at least to an extent. I prefer to work with bright, colorful palettes, as evident by my rendition of the Tales of style that I work with in my DA gallery, and such, but I love to venture outside of my comfy spot to try out other styles, if possible, even if I can only make major edits in some. >w<;
The reason I joined the Mossmouth forums is, well, plain and simple, because of Spelunky. This rage-inducing game has a very nice design aesthetic, and, truth be told, despite having more experience with pixels, I would really like to learn how to make my own skins for myself, and others, if possible. Maybe if someone could teach me, or something, but I know that'd be a hard thing to ask for. <w<; Regardless, it's very nice to meet all of you, and I hope we can get along well!

Hello. I only have Spelunky classic. Let me know if anyone wants to know some hacks and tricks. Here are a few:
-If you flip hang (hold down and crawl off the ledge) onto an arrow trap it won't hurt you (only works in classic version).
-If you flip hang so you are in spikes, hold down and press z to not be harmed by them (I think this works in both versions).
-If you hold alt and press f3 you get 99 lives on the classic version. If alt and f3 does not work try option f3 or on Chromebooks search and reload. Try to figure out how to do it on your computer. It does work on classic though. No joke.
-If you have a cape you can land on spikes in classic while holding jump you shouldn't be harmed. Might work on the full version?
-Also, ask me how to kill the shopkeeper if you don't know how to without using a gun or bombs.
