I guess I actually managed to make a riddle hard to answer.

That riddle came from that game. In fact, the riddles that had "river" and "fire" as their answers came from that game, just slightly changed. That's why I asked.

1. Not the one I was thinking of, I didn't even know "beet" was an edible thing.
2. No, but the "a" stays in the original place.
3. "Silence" has 7 letters, that word only six. So I didn't answer.

Well one outta four ain't bad...oh wait yes it is.

Also, a beet is kinda like a radish, but blood red and I think bittersweet. I believe it's the main ingredient in Borscht, a traditional Russian soup that you eat cold.

(Actually it seems to be quite widespread with hot and cold varieties, but I've always known it as a Russian dish)

"Sounds" is an answer, although the answer I was looking for was "Speech." However, I had forgotten that some people write it down, so Wonkyth is correct!

The first one I had thought of was "meet" (meat). Beet is correct, so two of four.
