I know: as the Damsel, you have the normal weaponry, don't take as much damage, shopkeepers are kinder to you, and you can't get killed by the ghost.

But every now and then, Spelunker grabs you and either carries you to the end of the level or sacrifices you to get himself some spring boots.

But if you were to play as the damsel and have spelunkers running around, then wouldn't it make no sense for there being a trapped spelunker somewhere screaming "HELP"? Who would pucker up his manly lips to give you another life THEN, huh? ;P

OK, combining ideas:
-kiss of death rather than whip
-lonely shopkeepers give you a discount
-ghost only attacks you if carrying Dave ( or crystal skull)
-"floaty" jump with dress acting as cape
To balance out the overpowering stats above:
-knock-out animation lasts longer
-shorter jump/run time
 Huh?

A drawback should be that she can only gain health by using the kapala.

The spelunker idea should be used in place of the ghost for the damsel.

Arrows do only one damage to you instead of two (as Damsel)
As that is how it works when you're the Spelunker.
