Then, she starts towards the door to examine it.

Daphne scoops up the shop's items and passes them to Griffen. She starts to put the amulet on, but before it's completely around her neck, she remembers to check it for curses. After a quick check, she finds out that it is cursed, if she still decides to put it on, it will be bound to her unless she finds a scroll of uncurse, however nobody has seen one for thousands of year. She will be stuck with whatever effects it has for the rest of her life. They both examine the door and find it to be unlocked and completely safe to open.

As Daphne attempts to open the door, she catches her finger on a splinter of wood. That hurt! Griffen attempts to open the door as well and also hits a splinter, but not as badly.

Griffen throws another attempt at opening the door, this time he overshoots and jams his fingernail on the doorknob, it looks painful. Daphne, having had enough with this door fires a powerful beam of light at the door, it lights on fire, burning brightly for a few seconds before turning to ash and crumbling away. Inside, they see a large, scaly, green, lizard, sleeping next to a set of stairs leading down.

Again, Daphne begins to channel up a ray of holy fire, it hits the lizard and lights it on fire, however, it appears to have done nothing to the lizard, as it continues to sleep peacefully. Griffen attempts to shoot the beast in the eyes to blind it, but misses horribly and the arrows, shattering on the wall, awakens the beast!

Griffen stumbles out of the room, hiding behind Daphne to avoid the wrath of the lizard. Daphne, hoping to stop the beast and give them time to attack, conjures up a holy flashbang and prepares to cast it at the beast. However, it detonates too early and blinds them instead. When they regain their vision, the lizard is almost right outside of the door, but appears to be too big to fit.
