Aww. I wish that they left Dr. Mario in, Mewtwo, and didn't change the physics for Ness's attacks, but either way, mastery of Ness makes you one of the absolute hardest opponents to beat. I don't like Lucas because I feel that he's basically a very minimally powered down, yet much easier to use version of Ness which makes me sad, but oh well.

Also, hard things for me in games: Beating the Watermelon Festival in Super Mario Sunshine used to take me at a minimum of two hours. However, I was like 9, and now I'm 17. It no longer takes much effort. :3

In melee yes but in brawl he is non existent and my cousin lied to me and said he was in the game.
If you wanna get technical he actually is, there' unusable left over data for him from melee

as well a unusable data for characters assumed to be toon zelda and plusle and minun and a few others

When I was younger, playing Super Mario Sunshine, the later block levels without FLUDD. That they were MANDATORY didn't help either. Eventually one gets used to them, but after using FLUDD's hover so much it's a pain playing without it.

But that's not the most difficult moment for me. Not even close. The true most difficult moment was in the PS1 game Final Fantasy Tactics (also one of my favorite games of all time). A series of battles that, yeah you can save between, but that's actually a curse.

You fight outside Riovannes Castle first, very simple. Enemies aren't too hard, etc.
Then you fight inside. With only your main character, one on one against a relatively high level and very well equipped foe. He also has some damn good skills that have long range, capable of killing you before you even get close. If you didn't grind like hell, or aren't playing one of the broken classes (which usually take grinding to get to truly game breaker status anyway) it can be impossible. He will get rid of most of your health in one attack, and even if you have potions strong enough to heal, he only needs between 2-3 attacks to wipe you out, while you are stuck constantly healing and unable to damage him. There's a strategy to beat him, but takes advantage of using the weakest and most overlooked class in the game. Say you get 80% of his health off though, then the real battle starts. Your team rejoins you, but so does his. He gains the assistance of 3 high power demons, stronger than his human form, and he himself turns into a powerful demon who constantly uses summons and high level moves. Thankfully you only have to kill him and not the other demons to win, so this second phase is easier than the first, if only because you can just rush him and hope you outlast him.

So you beat this second battle? Cool, time for a third battle. Good news: you only have to injure one of three opponents. Bad News: 2 of them can instant kill you (or most any status, including Charm) with 100% success if they so choose. The other guy? Can teleport around and has absurdly powerful attacks. That's not the worst part. The worst part is it's an escort mission with a suicidal AI you're guarding (her character is literally suicidal at this point in the story), and the enemies usually get several turns before you do. Chances are you'll lose this battle before you can do anything.

And if you save between one of these and you're not strong enough to win regardless of strategy? Start a new file, as that save is stuck before the battle. Can't go and grind, have to go into that battle. It took me a few years to beat the one on one battle, and thankfully after that beat the Escort on my first try (blind luck). Either way, most anyone who's played the game reviles that battle sequence, especially the Escort part.

Sacred ground isn't that hard, you just have to memorise all the movements perfectly. Tongue

Ahh! I used to hardcore Sunshine cause that was like the only game i had for ages <3
I'm still okay at it but my favourite level is either The Shell Secret in Noki Bay or Into the Inferno (Or something like that) in Pianta Village <33333
when i was a lot younger though, both those levels, the one with manta rays, and the one with scrubbing the beach i found were very hard. but they're much easier now :3.

Ooh, what about that accursed level from Super Mario Galaxy where you had to hop around on this giant Mario sprite where each pixel was a block that once you stepped on it, it disappeared... and you had to get 100 purple coins scattered across the level! AAAARGH!

I thought the hardest Mario Galaxy level was that fucking ghost galaxy sling one with Purple Coins and a time limit.
