I'm thinking randomly teleporting around 50% or so of the bombs thrown at Cthulhu into the general area of over your head should make that strategy a little less of an instant win.  Smiley

Hahaha, finally tried this thing!

Cthulhu killed me the first time 'cuz I wasn't using the machete.  When I respawned and opened the two crates near the checkpoint, I received both a compass and a teleporter.  I totally telefragged cthulhu the second time, but that didn't count as killing him, so I had to jump off the cliff.  Third time, I ate the machete, which combined with my kapala for the thresher, and then I tore him up right quick.  My escape was made much easier with the grappling hook I found!

So...not bad!  I was surprised there was no music for climbing out of the hole.  Wouldn't Spelunky's boss theme be good for that?

Also, the cake was clearly just a very gloppy over-sized marinara meatball.  Come on, man.

I kept dying near the temple area Undecided
But this mod is great. Although I think there's a problem or something:
I am unable to return to the main menu.
F1-suicide doesn't do anything except respawn me, and then the boss theme starts playing for a short time.

This is an awesome mod! How hard would it be to implement into regular Spelunky? Although TLS is awesome I like vanilla Spelunky more. Also there are a few glitches but this is a finished mod so I won't bother you about them.

Well, I'm not calling it finished yet because there's still some things to go back and tidy up, bugs and there's too many ways to cheap shot the final boss. It's not very high to do on my priority list right now.

THe final boss is pretty easy. All you need to do is throw like 25 bombs and you'll win.

But what happens if you don't have 25 bombs?
