So Ive been playing a lot of pokemon lately so ive decided to make a pokemon topic! so many things to discuss on this topic!

Fights between Gallade, Sceptile, Kabutops, Dragonite, Scizor, Snorlax, and more.
Definitely Claire. She's the only one I ever lost to, other than the twins in Hoenn, but Claire was harder.
1. Pokemon Crystal(I do wish it had the updated battle system though)
2. Pokemon Ruby
3. Pokemon SoulSilver

Favorite Pokemon is Skarmory, I usually end up having one of these in some way by the end of most of the games.
Hardest gym leader? Normally I would have to agree with SparkleDevon on Claire, But I just beat Clay on Black. True, most people have an easy time with him, but my playthrough had me stuck on him for awhile because he kept 1-hit KOing my team. The only reason I beat him was because my friend let me borrow his dewott.
As for my favorite of the games. Diamond because it was the first pokemon game I ever bought

As far as favourite Pokemon goes, I'm probably going to say Beedrill or Haunter.
I haven't played enough of the Pokemon games to comment on the other two.

my fav pokemon is scizor because he is really under used in most pokemon LPs ive seen
also Koga in pkmn fire red was the hardest for me his muk kept using minimize and my pokemon were all fainted accept for my nidoking that didnt do anything to it because it sharply raised its defense like 3 times and that was a really hard gym battle for me
fav game for me would be black because of the better pokemon and much much better plot that not only focused on pokemon but also humans!

I feel your pain. I HATE these types of moves. They make it REALLY annoying! MUK used Minimize! MUK's Evasivness rose! LUIGIA used Extrasensory! But it missed... How can moves like that even miss? |

Dangit the hardest gym leader is that flying one in Ruby. Maybe it was because my entire team was weak to flying and my other Pokemon were weak.
Or maybe I was just really bad at the game.
My favorite Pokemon is Tyranitar. He can learn a crap ton of moves and I love to destroy an entire team with him.
My favorite game is probably Soul Silver. I really like how it mixed the old with the new.

Two moves are the definition of 'cheap' in Pokemon. GamesRadar did do a story about how "there is no 'cheap' move in any game, you just aren't good enough to overcome it" That's true. to an extent. But you can justifiably argue that PROTECT as well as DETECT are the cheapest moves ever. I mean, I know I can use Feint to break through it, but often, I don't have a pokemon that CAN learn the move, and I don't want to WASTE a space just so I can block against a pokemon that's being cheap. In most situations, especially Gym Matches or other ingame field matches, it just wastes your time. When utilized properly, it is actually a good strategy. (Use toxic, then raise your evasiveness, defense/special defense, and use Protect) but really, 99/100th of the time, it's just a wasted move that does nothing more than piss me off. yay ranting  Seriously though, I love that in SoulSilver/HeartGold that they have the GB Sounds Key Item. Nostalgia is one of my favourite things. I recently bought Donkey Kong(GameBoy version) off the Virtual Console for the 3DS, and like had the biggest nostalgiaboner in the world. seriously. it was awesome. |
