Did anyone else get a 3DS?

By the way, I want no "console war" fighting here. I hate that it -has- to be a war. I dunno about you guys, but somehow, I plan on getting enough money to buy both, because I don't want to miss out on the unique experiences each of them has to offer. c:

Back to on topic.
Yeah. I got a 3DS. It's beautiful. I can't wait for Paper Mario, Mario Kart, and a bunch more games to come out soon. If I can scrape together enough cash to get them all, I most certainly will. I also need more eShop cards. Since I missed out on DSiWare the first go around, I have a lot on my wishlist.

So far, I have Ridge Racer 3D and Ocarina 3D. Both fabulous games, and both beautiful in 3D. However, Ridge Racer got really repetitive really fast, and I wish that In Ocarina, they made the bosses and general maps more difficult. I blew through both original and master quest in like 45 hours. The other 20 I spent finding Skulltulas and heart pieces. Also, I really liked the finer-tuned controls in it, because it made some things much easier.  :3

Anyways, yeah. Other games I really want that already released are BlazBlue, Street Fighter, Nintendogs(hey, it's a good waste of time when I want to just waste time, listen to music and relax), PilotWings, and more that I'm way too lazy to list.

If I had the money, I'd still wait for awhile, since I know that people are working on a PSP port for AGS games.

Yeah. We don't have a lot of money, so I feel bad that I insisted so much in getting one. But I do think it's worth it. It's a very nice experience and overall just very well done, so far.

And Yeah. Now I just have to scrape together 250 for is PSV and my handheld life will be complete for another 4 or 5 years or so.

Yes. I do have one of these systems which you refer to as the 3DS.
However, I'm looking to get an Xbox 360 when the price drops so I can play the games that aren't on Steam (Castle Crashers anyone?) and play with my friends.

I also want to get a PS3 so I can play Uncharted 3... Curse you system exclusives!

Also, are you excited for the 20 free games we get? Sure they're 'old' but, I for one haven't played like, more than half of what they mentioned.

Also, I do really need a PS3, and 360, but I guess for now, I'm kinda stuck with not like, having them xD

Maybe I'm just weird, but I dunno. I seem o have the best experience of the 3D in the dark, without other distractions, and brightness on 2. c: I remember, I never got a headache, even once from the 3DS, or eye strain, but I do know that until like 2 or 3 days after I got it, I wasn't usually looking at the screen properly, like it was usually too close, and stuff, but after I did get better at it, I was amazed by how beautiful Ridge Racer 3D looked, in 3D xD

Yeah I haven't been too excited by Nintendo recently, though if any game would make me buy one it's the Layton/Wright game. I don't care a tiff about 3D though, could be interesting but seems like just another gimmick. So what about it excites you guys? (that have one)

But it is too expensive in South Africa (probably more than R2 000, at a guess), and I'm the only person at my house who actually knows more about computers, so, I never want one. Not in this dimension.

To be totally honest, some of the games like Super Mario 3D Land really benefit with 3D :3.

It is a bit gimmicky on most 3rd party games, but it's still a nice option, really.

Other than that, all my games run fine on it, the Ambassador Program games give me a lot to do, the circle pad feels reaaaaaaaaally nice, and a lot of the games like Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus, Mario Kart 7, and more are really good. c:

So, really, I love my 3DS tons. My battery is starting to get a little worse, but it still works better than a majority of other people's batteries, so I'm not really complaining. :3 No huge downfalls, apart from the fact that I want EVERY SINGLE COLOR. HAVE YOU SEEN THE COBALT BLUE? OR ICE WHITE? OR THE PURPLE ONE OR THE PINK ONE OR THE RED ONE? they're glorious!

but really. i'm a fan of colors.
