HONESTLY i wish i could fly. like i still dream about flying which is kind of lame because im gonna be a sophomore next year but hey, its not like i can control my dreams

LOL yay  flyings the most common answer to what superpower do you want but thats not without reason. i mean how cool is FLYING. i guess time travel and teleportation are cool but that would screw up the time and space continuum thingy or create parallel universes or whatever. FLYING FTW |

Seriously, I still have dreams often, where I just focus on flying, and do it, and I think the coolest thing about the dreams, is that I always manage to through the same method, where I just really focus on it, and eventually kind of like liftoff of the ground psychically. I actually think my last dream like that was just a few days ago, like last night xD

Lucid dreaming is all about realizing you're in a dream without waking up.
I have a friend who is always pinching herself so often that it's become a habit. When she pinches herself and it doesn't hurt, she knows she's dreaming and can proceed to do whatever she wants.
Another trick (less painful) is to check the time. Time doesn't work right in dreams, so it should say a completely different time every time you look back.
Back on to the original topic: Flying is fun and all, but I feel it doesn't have much practical application. And most fun things do get boring after a while. Take Spelunky for example! We love it, but we've also played it a bit too much and I don't think any of our long term members plays nearly as much as they used to.

Tell your friend that a better reality check is to plug/hold your nose, and if you can still breathe, it's a dream. It doesn't hurt, and it's supposedly a more accurate check anyway.
Another thing, continuing from Keg's list, is to count your fingers, sometimes your can have a extra or too few fingers, however weird it sounds. XD
But yes, lucid dreams are awesome. If you know for sure it's a dream, then you can do anything as long as your brain knows what it is. You can fly, save the world, destroy the world, switch genders, etc.
